Dear AS²A Families,
Catholic Schools Week was an amazing celebration of our faith, academic excellence, and service to others.
We opened the week with a celebration of Mass in the multipurpose room with Father Frank O’Loughlin. Father Frank’s homily resonated with all as he shared how his Catholic school education impacted his faith life. Thank you to the sixth-grade students for hosting this celebration of faith and to the sixth and seventh-grade students for sharing their musical talents in the choir.
On Tuesday we celebrated our service to others with the Cereal Domino Challenge. Our generous students and families donated 307 boxes of cereal for families in need at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. The MLK Center weighed the donation and thanked us for the 129 pounds of cereal! Thank you, eighth graders, for creating the domino challenge!
Wednesday’s celebration focused on our hard-working students. We recognized our students’ efforts by enjoying some movie fun at the “ASA Multiplex” complete with popcorn and concessions! Thank you to Miss Richardson and Ms. Viveiros for creating our theater.
On Thursday, AS²A was transformed yet again to celebrate academic excellence. History Night at the Museum featured student “statues” in vignettes representing Frontiers in History, from our founding fathers’ signing of the Declaration of Independence to Our Lady of Guadalupe’s appearance to Juan Diego. As the statues came to life, parents and families were welcomed into classrooms to experience the research and projects created by our very diligent students who studied people, places, and ideas that changed history. Thank you to Miss Dawn for curating our museum!
Friday served as the culmination of a rewarding week of celebration. Faculty and staff enjoyed a delicious trip to Italy provided by our very generous PTO and families. Thank you to all who contributed!
As you can see, we had a full week of excitement and fun! We took lots of pictures along the way and posted them on our social media platforms. Be sure to like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay current with our event photos.

For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
