Dear AS²A Families,
Valentine’s Day was filled with joy and celebration at All Saints Academy! Students enjoyed a special out-of-uniform day, classroom parties, and plenty of sweet treats as they exchanged valentines and shared messages of love and friendship. The spirit of the day continued with our Theme Song Thursday selection, All You Need Is Love by The Beatles—a perfect reminder that, as we have heard in our daily readings from Paul’s Letters to the Corinthians, love is at the heart of all we do in God’s name!
Students in grades 5-8 used the antennas on top of the building to participate in the School Club Roundup Ham Radio contest this week where students log the number of contacts made with schools around the country and the world! Each school contact yields 5 points, a club contact earns 3 points, and an individual ham operator yields 1 point. With guidance from the Newport County Radio Club members, offered exclusively to All Saints students, our students have smashed the ASA record of 2,000 by earning over 6,700 points. We meet after school today to add to that score - look for a final total after winter break!
We previously reported on the winning efforts of our very talented third-grade students who excelled in the Aquidneck Land Trust Art and Writing Contest, K-4 Writing Division. The story of the students’ success made it to the Newport Daily News - check it out here!
Reminders:
Re-enrollment forms for the 2025-2026 school year have been delivered to families via School Messenger email. Forms are due March 14, 2025. Please keep in mind:
In order to apply for tuition assistance, families must complete a tuition assistance application and submit it to our needs-assessment provider, FACTS Management
Financial awards are not renewable, so families must reapply each year
Financial assistance may also be available to you through your parish. Once you complete your FACTS application, contact your parish for more information about their requirements for additional subsidy
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office. We are happy to help!
Did you know?
Each morning, two of our 8th graders lead the school in prayers and announcements. This daily responsibility helps them develop leadership and communication skills while also serving as role models for younger students. It’s a wonderful way for our oldest students to grow in confidence and set a positive example for our school community!
