Dear AS²A Families,

As we bid farewell to February, we welcome the arrival of March, a month known for its unpredictable weather—coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb. This transition reminds us of the ever-changing seasons and the renewal that spring brings.

March also marks the beginning of the Lenten season, a time of reflection, prayer, and preparation for Easter. Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, is this coming Wednesday. Lent calls us to deepen our faith through acts of sacrifice, service, and spiritual growth. As we embark on this sacred journey, we encourage families to take time for prayer and reflection together. We will attend Ash Wednesday Mass at St. Lucy’s Church at 9am.  Please join us if you are available. 

Secure your spot for next year!  Re-enrollment forms are due March 14th - don’t miss this important date!  We receive inquiries and applications from new families every day. In order to ensure a spot for your student, return your form by Friday, March 14th. 

Please keep in mind: 

• In order to apply for tuition assistance, families must complete a tuition assistance application and submit it to our needs-assessment provider, FACTS Management

• Financial awards are calculated annually and are therefore not renewable - families must re-apply each year  

• Financial assistance may also be available to you through your parish. Once you complete your FACTS application, contact your parish for more information about their application requirements for additional tuition subsidy

As we continue our Lenten journey we are giving to those in need through our annual Diaper Drive!   We will collect diapers, diaper wipes, and mini crib sheets on Wednesday, March 5th through Tuesday, March 25th. All items will be donated to St. Gabriel’s Call and Lucy’s Hearth for distribution to local families in need.  Thank you for helping us model the virtue of generosity for our students. 

Reminders: 

On Friday, March 21st, teachers will participate in Professional Development.  There is no school for students on this day. 

Did you know? 

On Thursdays we celebrate Theme Song Thursday!  During morning announcements, a song is played over the loudspeaker.  Teachers call in to the office with the guess from their class and the winning classroom can be heard cheering all the way down the hall!
