Dear AS²A Families,
We had much to celebrate this week!
The annual AS²A Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, January 18. We are proud to announce sixth-grade student Anne Tauer as the Champion Bee and seventh-grader Rose Morrissey as First Runner Up. Both girls will represent AS²A in the Regional Diocesan Spelling Bee held on February 1 at St. Mary’s School in Cranston. Congratulations and best of luck to our Super Spellers!
Our very creative third and fourth-grade students excelled in the Aquidneck Land Trust Art and Writing Contest, K-4 Division. The contest encourages students to express their appreciation for the natural beauty of Aquidneck Island through their art and writing. Put your hands together for our talented winners:

Your generous support of our Cereal Challenge collection is nothing short of amazing! Our friends in need at the Martin Luther King Center and St. Joseph’s Food pantry look forward to our bountiful donation. It was truly heartwarming to see the joy in the students’ faces as they contributed to the growing collection of cereal. What a wonderful way for our children to care for and serve others!
Spanish Teacher Update - We are happy to welcome Mrs. Arianna Alarcon to AS²A! Spanish classes will resume Monday, February 6th. Thank you for your patience and support as we searched for a talented language teacher for your children.
Reenrollment - Can you believe it is time to re-enroll for next school year? The re-enrollment form was sent to current families via email this week. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office. We look forward to hearing from you!
