Dear AS²A Families,
This shortened week flew by, but not without exciting fun at AS²A!
The Read-a-thon mascot, Colby, is popping up…all around the school! Students have been challenged to count how many times they see Colby around the hallways, lobby, or multipurpose room. They will submit their guess and a name will be drawn to win a Barnes and Noble gift card. Let’s keep the love of reading going!
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Christmas FUN:
December 2 - Breakfast with Santa! This PTO event is an AS²A tradition and tickets sell out quickly. Mark your calendar now and keep an eye out for the flyer coming home soon in your child’s backpack.
December 5 - AS²A hosts international Christian recording artist, Ryan Tremblay, for an inspiring early Advent concert at 6:30pm in St. Lucy’s Church. AS²A students, Grade 2 through Grade 8, are invited to sign up to join Ryan on stage to sing “Glow in the Dark” and “Silent Night”. A permission slip went home with your child today. Don’t miss your chance to be a STAR!
December 12 - Join us for the first gift of the season, the AS²A Annual Christmas Pageant. A permission slip went home with your child on Thursday and is due Monday, the 20th. We are looking forward to another beautiful, peaceful nativity prepared by Miss Dawn.
Our annual Food Drive is off to a great start. Help us help those in need by donating canned goods for the St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. We will collect through November.
Over Thanksgiving break, clean out your closets and bring donations of new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and warm sweaters to AS²A. We will deliver your donations to the Knights of Columbus and Middletown Rotary. Let’s show our students how to share our abundant blessings.
With the changing weather, comes the cold and flu season. Please remember, children should not return to school until they are symptom free for at least a period of 24 hours. This includes being fever free and vomit free without the use of medication. Thank you for keeping All Saints healthy!
