As we end this week, I applaud your flexibility and support of our safety plans in providing distance learning to our students. Practicing safe distance, wearing masks, hand washing, and cleaning through the days, has allowed the school to remain in-person to week 17, having specific pods out when there is a presumption of possible close contact.
People may still become ill, we do not have a prior warning when this happens. We must react with an abundance of caution, move to our online learning when necessary, and as a faith community, send our prayers and good thoughts to those who may be ill.
To continue to reinforce our organization skills in the new year, students will be taking materials home at the end of the week. Please continue to ensure your students are in uniform shirt, with school materials, and ready to attend to their online instructions.
Our Catholic Schools Week calendar of joyful events will be announced next week, and it begins with our virtual Open House on January 31 from noon to one pm. An All Saints special spin will be open phone lines in this hour for interested families to speak with a member of our faculty and staff! Have you liked and followed our Social Media? The testimonials on the website are terrific, please continue to share your support!
In this coming week, we honor Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday. An excellent book to share with your children is written by his sister, Christine King Farris- My Brother Martin: A Sister Remembers Growing Up With the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On Wednesday, the inauguration of our 46th President Joe Biden will be celebrated. These events mark the leadership that our school mission statement includes. We pray for all who offer their talents and abilities to make the world a better place.
January 25 there will be no in-school Instruction as teachers will be receiving professional development through the Diocese of Providence. Students will have assignments posted online to complete on their own.
As we move forward, stay safe and prepared. You remain In our prayers and good thoughts always.
