Dear Parents,
We are blessed with a safe campus to expand onto when the sun beckons us outside. Today on the side yard, Mrs. Villareal’s seventh-grade Literature class was listening to novel reading, while second grade was engaged in a sharing movement game, and next to them the elementary team was sharing their STEAM ideas of saving water innovations. On the other side of the school, Coach H was playing kickball with Kindergarten while Señor Vidotto and the Eighth grade were preparing the track for the eighteen cross country runners this afternoon. Everyone was safely spaced apart, masks on, and minds engaged in the outdoor experience. Another great day at AS²A!
Our student teachers, Lauren Noble in grade five, and Kaitlin Dean in grade two, have shared their creative gifts in decorating the front boards in the social emotional learning theme. Reminding students to practice kindness to others, students live their faith creating a culture of compassion, our value of the month of April.
Remember-
If you plan to travel over the spring break to a state in the red with high Covid count, you must quarantine for ten days before you return to school on April 26, or present to AS²A a negative PCR result, which is tested on the fifth day of your quarantine. Be safe in your choices to help us all these weeks remaining in the school year.
Thank you for supporting your student in securing WALK-A-THON sponsors! The spring break is a great time to gather folks’ support!
Our cereal drive is 85 boxes away from 300- any help you have given and/or can give is much appreciated for our food-insecure folks.
Thank you for responding to the camp interest survey for our Pre-School through grade 3- if you have not done so do it asap- today is the last day!
If you have any need for extended day- please contact the office- we have open spots available!
The side school garden is ready for planting- thank you Kindergarten for your efforts!
Check out our Facebook photos- spring has sprung at AS²A!
We pray for our families every day and send you good thoughts to enjoy the many blessings God has given.
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
