April will be with us next Friday- do you laugh on April Fools Day? In the Catholic faith, one of the qualifications of sainthood is a sense of humor. Pope Francis has called joy and a sense of humor one of the signs of holiness. As we move through Lent, let us smile and laugh with our loved ones. There is nothing more wonderful than to hear the laughter of children!
We are waiting for all parents to sign the report cards that were shared last Friday at the end of the second trimester. Please make this a conversation with your students to review their efforts and support their last trimester this school year. I have been blessed to formally observe our wonderful teachers in action, and the hard work your students are doing every day deserves praise and attention. Thank you for continuing to work for us for their successes this year!
We remind our students daily that showing compassion and forgiveness is living our faith. Each grade will be attending Mass and the Stations of the Cross throughout the remaining weeks of Lent. We remind each other to speak with positivity and show helping acts to others. I hear kindness in the halls when the students are walking together. At our Student Council meeting this week, the class representatives asked for more respect cards to give out. This is a positive sign!
In the coming months, we will hopefully plan for more events to bring our community together. In May we will have our annual Walk-A-Thon which all students will have fun participating in a healthy activity!
Yearbooks are still available to order- do you have your order in yet?
The weather dips down often with cold spring winds-please ensure that your students are dressed warmly for outdoor time!
Our March birthdays will enjoy their ice cream treat on Monday!
Enjoy this weekend together- spring signs are all around!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
