All Saints STEAM Academy
Parent Update
October 8, 2021
Dear Parents,
This week has brought some firsts to our student’s learning at All Saints. Our students brought in loved pet pictures for a first St. Francis blessing of the pets in photographs. Our first band lessons were taught this week. We had our first fire drill of the year, and all classes cleared the building in under three minutes. And, our Eighth-Grade students presented their officer candidate speeches to the voting classes for the first time this year. We applaud all of our students who have the courage to try something new, to make a new friend, and to believe they can achieve their dreams. At AS²A, every student is called to try a “first”!
Thank you to those folks who promptly ordered the student created Saints Book. We thank Grade 3 Mrs. Everin for fulfilling this dream! We are excitedly looking forward to the publication!
Teachers will be notifying their families as Halloween gets closer. As per our safety plans, no outside folks are allowed in, and store-bought goodies will be told to you by your teachers. Students will dress as saints. Look for your teacher’s directives coming!
The winter uniform is to be worn when we return on Tuesday, October 12. The guidelines are listed in the handbook. As an addition, AS²A hoodies may be worn over the vest or sweater, or in place of it.
October 18 will be a professional day for the Faculty, there will be no school for the students. Please mark on your calendars!
The Midterm Trimester One Progress reports will be out on October 20. Please continue to support your student’s academic progress by ensuring that every evening they are reviewing material and have dedicated reading time.
Make sure that you are informed of the health of the area you are traveling to, should you do so in the coming days. We hope you enjoy the beauty of fall safely and happily!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
