Dear Parents,
As we move closer to our school's feast day on November 1, the students are reminded of the courage of the men and women who have become saints in our Catholic faith. They were like many in our communities- workers and leaders alongside their neighbors. What defines them as saintly are the ways in which they thought of others before themselves. Our students learn to show in action and word the respect and consideration they have for their fellow classmates and teachers. They are supported by you in your actions and decisions at home as well. Enjoy the fall moments with your wonderful families this holiday weekend.
When the school community returns on Tuesday, we will be in winter uniforms. Sweaters and sweater vests are required over the polo shirts, and long khaki pants are to be worn, no more shorts. Long sweat pants are to be worn with the gym sweatshirt as well on PE day. The ASA logo must be on the PE pants and shirts. Donnelly's has a surplus of these items if you need to purchase any. Wearing the required uniform is a lesson in responsibility and discipline. It instills pride in one's appearance and attention to detail. It allows everyone to be on an equal level from the eyes down, so the real personality and spirit of an individual can be shared. Thank you for supporting your student in wearing the correct uniform!
School pictures on the 14th will be in full uniform. All the students will have their pictures taken, and these pictures will be emailed to you for selection from our school photographer, Jennifer Carter. There are no forms to complete- it will all be online between the photographer and you. Thank you.
Remember to sign up for the flu clinic before the 15th, no walk ins will be served. Go to www.schoolflu.com Thank you!
The 19th is a professional day for our faculty to meet and collaborate on instruction. Your students will receive assignments to complete on their own for evaluating when we return on Tuesday. There will be NO online or in school instruction on Monday.
Don't forget to order Chipotle take out on the 19th! Orders must be placed online or through Chipotle’s app with the Promo Code 2MCZMWH and paid ahead of time. It is our first delicious fundraiser this year!
If you are planning on going to our AS²A Hybrid program or continuing with it, you must communicate with me and sign with your student, a new contract for the month of October 14- November 14. The expectations and responsibilities to be a part of the ASA Hybrid Program are to be followed daily in order for our student to progress academically. This is NOT a daily choice to move in and out of- it exists for those who choose the full month of instruction, and for those who are home awaiting test results or are in quarantine. The teachers are working assiduously to engage all learners in mastering their skills, and thorough planning for our in person and online students must be set in advance. Thank you for your cooperation.
You remain in our prayers for continued good health and happy days.
Stay safe this long weekend!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
