April is the Month of the Military Child and on Wednesday we “purpled up” to celebrate! Every student sported a purple bandana and a purple bracelet in honor of our military students. We gathered for an all school assembly to learn about the sacrifices our military children make in support of their active duty parents, sing songs, and award each military child a certificate of appreciation. Many AS²A students stood at the podium to share their own personal experiences about moving, new schools, and new friendships. Our lobby is decorated with “I’m A Proud Military Kid” posters and we could not be more proud of the many children who join us each year to become a forever part of the All Saints family.

Today, the middle school students hosted visitors from both MIT and the Rhode Island Department of Education. All Saints joined with MIT earlier this year to pilot their AI curriculum called RAICA, Responsible Artificial Intelligence through Computational Action. As we come to the end of the program, the representatives observed the AI lessons being taught and spoke with students about their AI projects in an effort to improve and enhance the program for delivery to public and private schools this Fall. Stop by the AI Station at STEAM Night on May 16th to get a glimpse into our students’ learning.
Most Reverend Robert C. Evans, recently retired auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Providence, celebrated Mass of Confirmation on Sunday, April 14th at St. Lucy’s Church. Congratulations to Rose Morrissey and Malenniya Lincoln, Grade 8 students, on receipt of the sacrament. May the strength and love of God continue to guide and protect you through your faith journey!
