Today we celebrated our feast day, All Saints Day. We enjoyed a lovely mass with Father O’Neill and the parishioners of St. Lucy’s Church. Thank you to those who were able to celebrate with us at mass this morning!
Students celebrated in their classrooms with activities and learning focused on the saints, those holy people we try to emulate every day. Miss Dawn presented a lesson on the Saints Collage to each grade and the middle school students hosted a Gallery Walk Presentation of Saints in the multi-purpose room.
As part of our All Saints Day celebration, we also kicked off our Thanksgiving Food Drive today. Thank you to those “saints in service” who brought in canned goods to donate to those in need this Thanksgiving. We will continue this collection for two more weeks. As Father O’Neill explained, each day we pray to find inspiration in not just our “known saints”, but all those who strive to live saintly lives. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping our “saints in service” share their gifts with others!
Reminder: It is very important that your student know his/her dismissal plan for each day. Please call or email the office AND email your child’s teacher with last minute changes to the plan by 2:30pm.
In honor of Veterans Day, November 11th, we will create a display in our lobby honoring the veterans in our All Saints Academy community. You can help! Look for a handout in your student’s backpack asking you to show (with a photo or drawing) and “tell” us about a veteran in your family or circle of friends. Complete the handout, return it to school, and we will proudly display your returned responses in our hallway and add a flag to our courtyard for each veteran being honored.
Next Friday, November 8th, we will remember and celebrate our veterans with a student prayer service. Our prayers will honor and recognize all of America’s veterans – their patriotism, their love of country, and their willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
The READ-A-THON is coming next week! One of only two major fundraisers here at AS²A, it is a rewarding and fun way to get our students excited about reading while also earning prizes and helping their school. Look for information on how you can join the fun next week!
We want to share with you that Miss Patti has recently moved on from her role at All Saints Academy. We are grateful for her kindness and dedication to our Preschool students and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. We are also happy to welcome Miss Lucy as our new preschool assistant. We are excited for the joy and energy she will bring to the classroom!
We are still looking for help with the Extended Day program. If you or someone you know ( a neighbor, a great babysitter) would be interested in working with children from 3-5:30pm, please let us know. Anyone interested may email or call the office: [email protected] or 401-848-4300. Thank you!

Did you know?
There is a guardian angel hidden in each panel of the Saint Collage Board. Ask your student if they were able to spot the guardian angels!

All Saints’ Day Prayer
Dear holy saints of God,
we join our prayers of praise to yours this day.
With you, we sing of God’s goodness,
rejoice in God’s mercy,
and celebrate God’s incredible love.
Teach us to live as you lived –
always thinking of others,
always recognizing your weaknesses,
always rejoicing in God’s gifts,
always following Jesus.
Blessed are you, happy are you,
all holy saints of God.
Pray for us that we, too,
may someday be among God’s holy ones.
Amen
