Dear AS²A Families,
Happy Veterans Day! Our hallways are lined with photos and pictures of the veterans close to our hearts. Yesterday, we celebrated our veterans with a prayer service and recognized our students of military families who so enrich our school community. Even though our military families are here for a short time, we enjoy the friendships we share with you and the energy and spirit you bring to our AS²A family. Each student received a poppy pin at the end of our service as a symbol of our support and gratitude for our veterans. This pin may be worn every day as a part of the uniform. Please encourage your students to proudly support our military families!
Exciting News! We are delighted to announce All Saints STEAM Academy will host talented, international Christian recording artist, Ryan Tremblay, for an inspiring early Advent concert on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30pm in St. Lucy’s Church. Our students so enjoyed Ryan’s performance in September that we are bringing him back for an evening concert for our families and friends. Once again students will be invited to sign up to join Ryan on stage for 3 musical numbers! This musical event is open to all members of our community, and there is no admission fee. Instead, we invite attendees to contribute to a free will offering to support the artist and the continuation of such uplifting events. We look forward to sharing this memorable experience with you as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season.
In keeping with our mission to instill compassion in our students, we have started our annual Food Drive to help those in need this holiday season. Students are encouraged to donate canned goods for the St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. We will also partner with the Knights of Columbus and the Middletown Rotary to collect new and gently used coats, hats, gloves, and warm sweaters to provide warm clothing for the local homeless community. Thank you for helping us show our students how to share our abundant blessings.
Our READ-A-THON readers are off to a tremendous start! In just this first week, our readers have logged over 12,000 minutes of valuable reading time! The money raised by reading will be used to purchase outdoor play equipment, indoor recess games, and extra activities such as spring field trips. It is not too late to get in on the fun! Thank you for supporting AS²A by reading!
Have you ordered your AS²A spirit wear? We will close out the orders this Friday, November 17th. Turn in your forms so you, too, can sport your AS²A pride before Christmas!
Our School Messenger platform has a convenient text messaging feature! Text messages will be delivered straight to your mobile phone with important information about weather delays, school closings, and more. Look for a reminder email from School Messenger to sign up for text messages.
Santa Claus is coming to town! Mark your calendars for Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 2nd. This annual tradition sells out fast - look for information to be sent home soon!
