Dear AS²A Families,
It was so wonderful to hear the start of band practices this week! We heard a symphony of
trombones, saxophones, clarinets, drums, and bells to name a few! We are looking forward to an amazing Christmas concert that will be here before we know it!
Uniform Reminder: As the weather starts to cool, please remember that the winter uniform
requirements take effect after the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples holiday. Students must wear an AS²A logo sweater (v-neck or cardigan), vest, or fleece vest with their uniform. Starting October 10th, shorts (including gym shorts) are no longer permitted.
The excitement is building for Trunk or Treat! All are welcome to come for trunk or treating, but you may also sign up to decorate your trunk for the ever popular AS²A family event! Your spooky, creative themed trunk will make this Halloween event Spook-tacular! Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Please sign up to decorate your trunk using the Sign Up Genius link:

As a part of our Catholic school curriculum, students receive religious education instruction daily. However, preparation to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation is completed through your parish. This is a diocesan policy and families should reach out to their parishes to learn the necessary requirements. Some preparation classes may require two years of instruction, so reach out as soon as possible.
Please join us on Tuesday, October 17th, at 10:00 AM for a school Mass celebrated at St. Lucy’s and hosted by our Grade 8 students and middle school choir. Smile! School picture day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th. Students should wear their school uniform for pictures. Our photographer, Jen Carter, will share a Pre-Pay Order Form to select your photo package option. Check your email from the office for additional information.
LABEL, LABEL, LABEL! The Lost and Found cache is growing! If your child is missing a
sweater, sweatshirt, hairbow….please ask them to look on the cart right outside the office door!
We will be adding the current items to the uniform closet soon!
Did you sign up for the text messaging feature added to School Messenger! Text messages will be delivered straight to your mobile phone with important information about weather delays, school closings, and more. Look for the email detailing this new service!

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.”
