Dear AS²A Families,

Happy October!  Science has discovered orange is the only color that does not disappear or fade into the atmosphere.  It is always with us, just as God is always with us.  Look around and take notice of the color orange all around you this month! 

October is upon us and it's time to think about our next fun AS²A family event ~ Trunk or Treat! Start planning a spooky, creative theme for your trunk and help to make this Halloween event Spook-tacular! Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Watch your email for more information on how to sign-up and help.

Smile! School picture day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th. Students should wear their school uniform for pictures. Our photographer, Jen Carter, will share a Pre-Pay Order Form to select your photo package option. Check your email from the office for additional information.

Uniform Reminder:  Columbus Day marks the return of the Winter Uniform.  Uniform shorts are no longer permitted (including Gym shorts) after Columbus Day and students must wear the ASA vest or sweater with the regular uniform.  

LABEL, LABEL, LABEL!  We already have quite a collection of stray uniform items.  Lost and Found items are kept on the LF cart for one week.  If your child is missing a sweater, sweatshirt, hairbow….please ask them to look on the cart right outside the office door!  

A new text messaging feature is being added to School Messenger!  Text messages will be delivered straight to your mobile phone with important information about weather delays, school closings, and more.  You will receive an email early this week detailing the steps needed to opt in or out of this free service.  

Many of you have made appointments to complete a background check and Safe Environment training.  It can take 2-3 weeks to receive your clearance, so please plan ahead if you would like to volunteer with your child’s classroom.

Looking ahead, All Saints Academy will once again be the host location for a free FLU vaccine Clinic sponsored by the RI Department of Health. The clinic is scheduled for October 30 from 3:00-5:00 pm.  Please look for more information about registration in the coming weeks.

• Saturday, October 21 ~ Trunk or Treat, 1:00 - 3:00 pm (rain date 10/28)
• Monday, October 30 ~ Free Flu Clinic at AS²A

Did you know?

The Sanderson sisters flew onto the AS²A rooftop at last year’s Trunk or Treat?  Keep your eyes open at this year’s event…you never know who might appear!
