Dear AS²A Families,
Thank you AGAIN to our amazing PTO officers, Tammy Fink and Jackie Healy, for organizing a fabulous Breakfast with Santa! A winter wonderland greeted guests as they entered and children were all smiles as they gobbled down their pancake breakfast in anticipation of sharing their Christmas wishes with Santa. Thank you also to Miss Dawn for transforming her classroom to a cozy space for chatting with Santa and lovely photos! The joy was palpable and was a great way to start the Christmas season!
This weekend we celebrate the first week of Advent. Each Monday during Advent students and teachers gather as a school community for a prayer service focusing on the weekly liturgical themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. As we prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus, let us all focus on God's love for us, and involve as many as possible in the joy of his presence over the coming weeks.
Don’t miss the Advent concert by international Christian recording artist, Ryan Tremblay on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30pm in St. Lucy’s Church! Students signed up to sing with Ryan at the concert will practice with him at school on Tuesday morning. Singers should arrive at the concert in school uniform, at 6:20. There is no admission fee for the concert. Instead, we invite attendees to contribute to a free will offering to support the artist and the continuation of such uplifting events. We look forward to sharing this memorable experience with you as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season.
Join us for the first gift of the season, the AS²A Annual Christmas Pageant, on Tuesday, December 12, at 6 pm. All will be invited to contribute to a free-will offering for two local families in need this Christmas. We are looking forward to another beautiful, peaceful nativity prepared by Miss Dawn.
THANK YOU, Coach Em Devaud and Ms. Brantingham for sharing your love of running and healthy living with our student-athletes! Such fun was had by all that Coach Devaud offered to run another session during the spring - look for more news and remember every day is a great day to run!
Thank you for your generous donations to our annual Food Drive. The canned goods will be delivered to the St. Joseph Food Pantry early this week to benefit those in need this winter.
Monday kicks off our Coat Drive! Bring donations of new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and warm sweaters to AS²A. We will deliver your donations to the Knights of Columbus and Middletown Rotary. Let’s show our students how to share our abundant blessings.
