Happy Wednesday Parents,
Following are a few reminders as we continue on in week four!
1) Gators are not face masks, and do not keep us as safe, according to the CDC and RIDOH.
They are not accepted at school. Solid color face masks must be worn.
2) Please review the ASA School Handbook regarding time out of school.
If your child is home too sick to come in, they are not to be online doing work which will require their attention and effort and will be graded.
If your child is out for five days or more with non-covid illness, they must have a doctor’s note to return to school.
If you go away on vacation during school time, it is up to the teacher's discretion to give work the student is missing in class. Assignments are best understood and skills mastered with the instruction accompanied that the teacher delivers in class. Expect your child to make up this work when they return, and please remember to thank your teacher for the extra efforts they share to bring your student up to pace.
If someone in your home has covid testing done for symptoms they are experiencing, ALL members of your household must quarantine at home until BOTH the rapid and the PCR tests return negative. Test results are to be shared with the office. Thank you.
3) Much information is available to determine the symptoms of cold, flu, and covid. Keep up on the science as we navigate the fall season and beyond. Our AS²A flu clinic is October 15, you must register if you intend to get a vaccine. No walk ins will be admitted.
4) October 12- Columbus Day, no school
5) October 14- School uniform photographs- information coming!
6) As marked on our school calendars, October 19 is a Professional Day for the faculty. There is neither in-school nor virtual learning that day. Work assignments will be given to the students.
October 19 is the Chipotle Family Order and Take Out Fundraiser from 4-8 pm!!
Support our school with a tasty meal!!
As always, know that you are doing a fine job in preparing and supporting your learners.
Keep up the great efforts!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
