Last Parent Update of the School Year
Dear Parents,
Thank you, for the kind words, prayers, and praise you have buoyed us up with throughout this challenging year. When we began this education journey on September 14, each week was a success to be celebrated as we moved safely in the community. The months moved on, the seasons came and went, birthdays were marked, trimester work was graded, and now, we have arrived at the last Parent Update of this school year. Along the way, we shared the value of compassion, the understanding of each other, and the concern we shared for our community. This historic year will be remembered in many ways.
As we move into our last three days of school, we will continue to follow our school safety protocols which have served us so well throughout the year. There will be one change to the routine. For the daily twenty-minute recess, the students may remove their masks if they wish. This is the only change, as continual mask-wearing is required inside the school at all times.
Please follow your class teacher’s directions concerning end-of-year events, you will be informed of plans for the last few days.
Señor Vidotto is sending out the request for any used or new tennis ball donations. It is amazing how the playground bushes gobble them up! Thank you!
We pray for our Eighth Grade graduates tonight as they celebrate the Graduation Mass at St. Lucy’s church. We will pray for our youngest graduates, the Pre-School and Pre- Kindergarten students as they graduate on our school front lawn. As this is an outdoor event, the students do not need to wear a mask. We will continue to follow our safety protocols of social distancing with concern and awareness of our class members.
I wish each of you a safe and very happy summer. You will remain in my prayers as our journeys continue together, or far apart as we wish our Military families a warm goodbye. Keep in touch!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
