Parent Update
Dear Parents,
Over 160 folks visited our school website last evening to view the History Night at the Museum project- were they not wonderful!! The pride and energy of the students came across the screen loud and clear as we learned from each class how differently the forms of communication can be presented. I have shared our program with Superintendent Ferris and Assistant Superintendent Morrissey, both of whom support our AS²A STEAM showcases! We are unique in embracing new learning- as this first virtual History Night demonstrates.
Teachers began their day of appreciation with a personalized lunch box on their desks this morning, filled with treats! Of all the safety protocols we have followed at AS²A this year to help us all stay safe- teachers eating with their students in order to stay in their separate class areas has been a major difference in their day. That is why we made this year’s Teacher Appreciation Lunch theme be- LUNCH! Your generosity in making this day of appreciation happen is truly wonderful.
After a blessing for our teachers, and a school wide shout of THANK YOU- fun Friday will be celebrated by all. And at noon today, the teachers will enjoy a delicious lunch box from Pickles restaurant- again thanks for your generosity!
With the re-enrollment process, I have emailed each of you, and spoken with many of you individually about next year’s plans. We look forward to continuing the AS²A journey with you! Please send in your forms- the form was re-sent out on Thursday- look for it! Re-enroll by March 1st and the $150.00 fee will be waived!
You are doing a fine job in following safety directives and completing the daily attestation survey. The students have filled water bottles and nutritious lunches and snacks. They have a back up mask when needed. They are involved in their work and committed to learning. Next week, we will share in their accomplishments on the Progress reports. We are blessed to work with your students in their young lives. Stay warm this weekend!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
