Dear Parents,
We continue to pray each morning for each other and all around us. We are offered the opportunity to make each new day start with a time to remember our blessings with gratitude Today, your generosity has raised our food items and personal products donation drive to 712! Given this extraordinary display of generosity in this month of gratitude, the students will enjoy another dress-out day when 800 is reached. This collection will be shared with St. Joseph’s Food pantry and the Martin Luther King Center. Thank you, Senor Vidotto and the Student Council in collecting and packing the items.
On Wednesday, our school began their day with a special flag-raising and later listened as our military parents’ reflections on service and sacrifice were read to our student body. Enjoying a beautiful fall Veteran’s Day with your families on Thursday was a wonderful gift!
The students and their teachers have been working hard on their lessons as we move on towards the end of the first trimester on November 30. At the midterm progress report time, you were given the opportunity to conference online with your teacher. The hard copy conference form was to be signed and returned. Equally important was the viewing and signing of the SchoolSpeak averages. All parents in grades 3-8 are to have completed both the viewing and signing online. If you have not already done so, this is necessary to complete by Monday. Please note that tardy is marked if students enter after the 8:40 am bell, except those students who ride the buses. Being on time to start the day with their class helps all students settle securely into their school day. Thank you for ensuring that your student has the on-time advantage!
We appreciate your collaboration in following our school safety plan when traveling. With the holidays coming, be sure to assess your risk travel with the RIDOH information that has been shared. As fall moves to winter, be sure that your students are protected from the cold. Cold weather does not create sickness, it can lower our immunity to fight off illnesses.
Looking ahead
