This past Saturday, the spirit of AS²A was in full force at this year’s Trunk or Treat. Thank you to our PTO for planning a successful event featuring eighteen creatively decorated trunks and dozens of trick-or-treaters! A great time was had by all - more fun-raising events coming soon!
The festive community spirit spilled into the week as teachers and students celebrated with Halloween fun in the classrooms on Monday. Spooky jack-o-lanterns, bats, and skeletons graced the hallowed hallways.
On Tuesday, All Saints Academy students and staff joined Father Codega and the Saint Lucy’s community for a mass of All Saints Day. Classrooms celebrated our feast day with saint projects, parties, and activities. If you get a chance, check out the beautiful saint display in our lobby. Created by Miss Dawn, the mural serves as a reminder of the stories that inspire our love of God and neighbor.
In this month of November, we are grateful for the many blessings bestowed upon the AS²A family and as a faith community, we look to share with others. Thank you to the Student Council for sponsoring a Thanksgiving food drive, our first school-wide service project of the year. Our goal is to collect 300 cans for the food bank at St. Joseph’s Church in Newport. We are off to a great start…wouldn’t it be amazing if we far exceeded our goal?
Dates to Remember:
Friday, November 11 - Veterans Day - no school for students and staff
Wednesday, November 23 - 25 Thanksgiving Break
Wednesday, November 30 - End of the first trimester - grades close
We are so thankful to lead such an amazing community.
May God bless you and your family,
Dianne Green and Ann Villareal
