Parent Update
October 29, 2021
Dear Parents,
We continue to pray for you and your families as we move toward November together. We have had an exciting week together to end this month! The excitement for Halloween fun today being interrupted by our Wednesday power outage from the first nor’easter of the season put us all in a race to stay on pace Thursday and Friday. The students and teachers jumped right into their lessons and carried on.
The rain looks to be around for Saturday as well, so our Trunk or Treat will not be held. We thank the families who stepped forward to share their creativity and candy treats with our students. We hope all enjoy a safe and happy Halloween this Sunday.
The Feast Day of All Saints is this coming Monday, November 1. Bishop Tobin and four parish priests will lead our student body in this prayerful celebration. Our middle school students will read at the Mass and sing a Communion meditation song. Although this liturgy is for our student body only, we will include you in our prayers. Please continue to ensure that your students are in their correct winter uniform on this important day. After the service, Bishop Tobin will bless the students and our school in an outdoor gathering. We will end our feast day with a 50-minute feast day fun free time in honor of our 50th birthday!
Looking ahead, to celebrate Veteran’s Day, we invite our families to share their thoughts on their military service choice. If you would like to share in three to four sentences your reflection, we will be glad to read them to our student body on Wednesday, November 10. We are grateful for your sacrifice and service to our country. God bless you.
Please ensure that your children are bundled up for outdoor recess and activities when they arrive at school. We have been in the 50’s the last three days and the wind whips across our playground when we are outside. Brrr!
Thank you to Ms. Tine Rustad, mom to Anneke, grade 6, for working on our Clement’s Market receipts program!
Coming up in November is our Family Dining Out Night at Chipotle’s on November 17, information will be coming this week!
Have you shared a testimonial on our website yet? Our goal is to get 50+ testimonials from our school community to celebrate our 50th birthday! We welcome your sharing!
Enjoy these last days of October, here comes November!
God bless you,
Mrs. Brouse
