Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and recalls the story of Jesus' triumphal yet humble entry into Jerusalem. The cheering crowds who greeted Jesus by waving palm branches, symbols of peace and righteousness, remind us all to welcome Jesus into our hearts.
As we journey through the beautiful season of Lent, our students continue to live our AS²A mission by focusing on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Pre-K students, playing the roles of Jesus, his followers, and his enemies, are enjoying rehearsals for their annual Passion Play.
On February 29th (Leap Day) we were leaping for joy as we celebrated our teachers and staff. Early in the day each teacher chose a numbered plastic frog and throughout the day listened for their number over the loudspeaker. We could hear the cheers of students coming from the classroom as they heard their teacher’s number get called, and anxiously waited to see the gift they selected from the prize basket. What a fun way to spend our bonus day of the year and celebrate the unFROGettable dedication of our faculty and staff!
